Birchbark Biting Dragonfly Ribbon Skirt by No Roots No Wings

This patterned cotton fabric features a dark brown and orange bitch bark biting motif designed by Pat Bruderer (Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation). Finished with 4 1.5 inch sienna brown ribbons running horizontally across the middle of the skirt, spaced 1.5 inches apart. They are affixed with a straight stitch, with 10 in / 25.4 ribbons trailing on both sides. This skirt has an 8.5 in / 21.59 cm ruffled tier along the hem.

Sized M-L and measures at a length of 34.5 in / 87.63 cm, inner seams finished using zigzag stitches. This skirt features pockets. Handwash in cold water and let air dry.

No Roots No Wings was founded in July 2023 by Natasha Desarmenien-Mann, an accomplished Ojibwe-Saulteaux artist from Sagkeeng Anicinabe First Nation. She specializes in handcrafting ribbon skirts and an array of other artistic creations.
