Quillwork Ribbon Skirt by No Roots No Wings

Showcase bold purple and pink quillwork with beautiful ombre purple ribbons!

This patterned cotton fabric features pink and purple floral quillwork designed by Winnipeg-based artist Amy McPhearson (Red River Métis, Fashion Ikwe Designs). Finished with 5 1.5 inch purple (various shades, satin and glitter) ribbons running horizontally across the middle of the skirt, stacked on one another creating an ombre effect.

Sized M-L at a length of 33.5 in / 85 cm, inner seams finished using zigzag stitches. This skirt features pockets. Handwash in cold water and let air dry.

No Roots No Wings was founded in July 2023 by Natasha Desarmenien-Mann, an accomplished Ojibwe-Saulteaux artist from Sagkeeng Anicinabe First Nation. She specializes in handcrafting ribbon skirts and an array of other artistic creations. Every garment tells stories of cultural pride and the beauty of indigenous traditions.
